Discipleship

Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples. He said every disciple should learn all that He had commanded (Matthew 28:18-20). How can that happen if we do not know all the commands that He has given? The Bible speaks of itself as being “breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

We grow in our faith by learning about who God is and how He wants us to live. We challenge every believer, every disciple of Jesus to read the Bible every day. Only by hiding His words in our hearts will we know how to navigate this life.

We have several tools that can help keep you on track.

Scripture Memorization

Scripture Memorization is a great way to bolster our faith and understanding in the Lord. By hiding the Word of God in our hearts, we are preparing ourselves to walk in His ways. Do you have a desire to memorize God’s word but don’t know where to start? We have selected 52 passages that remind us of “What’s Central to Central Baptist Church.” Each week, we will review the passage during our Sunday Morning Worship service.
