Matthew moves from the Birth Stories of Jesus into His earthly ministry. These are the beginning accounts of Jesus earthly ministry. The Holy Spirit leads Jesus to the wilderness where He is tempted by Satan. Jesus knows His role in God’s story  and is able to withstand the fiery darts of the devil.
