DiscipleNow is a weekend retreat for Middle-school and High-school youth. Students are hosted by Central Baptist Church in host homes provided by church members for the weekend. It is a time of group sessions, worship, teaching, testimonies, and relationship building. It is a great weekend to break away from the norm and come together as the Christian body to develop a deeper understanding of The Lord with like-minded believers. It is also a perfect opportunity to invite people to experience Christ in a profound way, or even for the very first time.
This year’s DiscipleNow Weekend will be led by Glowing Heart Ministries. Based out of the DFW metroplex, Glowing Heart is a ministry staffed by college students and young adults who partner with churches and youth ministries to raise up generations of people who know Christ and shine His light from their hearts so that others may experience God for the glory of His name.
The mission of Glowing Heart Ministries is to train student leaders and edify believers through relationships and the ministry of music so that Christ may be known more intimately and made known more widely, in this generation and the next.

This year’s theme is “Jesus is Better.” We are looking at moments in the lives of four Old Testament people and how their stories ultimately point to the one true king, Jesus.
Through this, we desire for students to see the excitement of the Old Testament and how it is still relevant to today, and by connecting different stories to Jesus, that they may begin to see how all Scripture points to the One that gave His life for us. These four may have been great, but Jesus is better!
