During this time of social distancing and staying home, we have shifted to Digital Gatherings. Each week we will post here a lesson that is for our kids. It has several music videos, a teaching video, and a teaching sheet that grown-ups can use to help kids learn. The lesson goes along with the normal Sunday School lessons they do in the classrooms.

Children’s Ministry
At Central Baptist Church, we recognize that children are a blessing from God. We strive to strengthen the faith of every Child. We believe that this is accomplished when parents are taking active roles in spiritual training and leadership. Our church exists to equip families with the tools and wisdom to train children in the truth of God’s Word – The Bible. All of our activities focus on the revealed truth of the Gospel.
Sunday School
We have classes for every age group that teach the stories of the Bible. Our teachers seek to bring the Word of God to life. The lessons are always age-appropriate and encouraging. We hope for our children to have a desire to come to church. We hope to ignite a passion to read the Bible all the days of their lives. Nursery Care
The Central Baptist Church Nursery Suite is a delightful place where faithful volunteers look after children (Birth -Toddlers) during the Sunday School hour and Sunday Morning Worship. We feel that our nursery is more than just childcare. Of course we offer a safe, clean, and vibrant environment for babies and toddlers, but we see the nursery as a way to serve families and their young children. These wonderful volunteers help to give each child age appropriate stimulation or a quiet place to sleep. Our hope is that parents and grandparents can leave their children in the capable hands of our volunteers and be able to focus completely on Worship and Learning.
Sunday Morning Children’s Church
Our children are always welcome to join their families in the Sanctuary. We do offer a volunteer-staffed nursery suite for children (Birth – Toddlers). But, we do have several families who bring their children into the service with them. We want each family feel free to choose what is best for your little ones. During the Worship Service, Kids are invited to worship together with the church family. About halfway though the service, children Pre-K through 2nd grade are dismissed to “Children’s Church.” In an alternate room, some fabulous volunteers and teachers will engage them in an age appropriate lesson, games, even singing. You can pick up your children after the Worship Service is over.
Wednesday Night Bible Study
Every Wednesday at 6:45 pm our children’s ministry meets in our Fellowship Hall for an engaging time of Bible Study and fun. We have a dedicated team of adult leaders that prepare a Biblically-based, age appropriate lesson. They work together on a specific craft each week. They also sing songs and play games. A light snack and juice is given to the children as well. Often our children will visit Homestead Nursing and visit with the residents, there are also other projects they help with from time to time on Wednesday evenings. The Children’s Bible Study is dismissed at 8:00 pm every Wednesday.
